Step 2 – Share What You Can
Lending is how the closet grows. Here's how to add your pieces.
Take Good Photos – they make all the difference
Natural light, a simple background, and at least one photo of the piece flat and one on a body (yours, if you're comfortable) goes a long way. No need to show faces. Show the details: buttons, texture, any wear. Honesty is care.
Describe it like you're telling a friend.
Include the brand, size on the label, and how it actually fits — generous, runs small, better with a belt. Note any quirks: a zipper that sticks, a hem that needs tucking. The more honest your listing, the more the right person finds it.
Set Your Terms
Set a borrow duration, any care notes, and whether the item needs to be dry-cleaned before return. Your listing, your terms — as long as they're in the spirit of the community agreements.
Step 3 – Borrow With Care
The closet belongs to all of us. Here's how to borrow thoughtfully.
Take your time. There's no rush.
Browse the closet, filter by size, style, or category. Read the full listing — especially the lender's notes on fit and care. Each item belongs to a real person in this community. Treat the browsing like getting to know someone.
Send a request. Introduce yourself.
When you find a piece you love, send a borrow request to the lender. A brief note goes a long way — where you're wearing it, why it caught your eye. Connection matters here.
Wear it. Love it. Return it with care.
Wear the piece as you would something you treasured. Follow the lender's care instructions. Return it clean, on time, and in the same condition — and leave a note about your experience if you'd like. That's how trust gets built, one borrow at a time.
Community Events
The closet lives online. The community lives in person. Our events are free, accessible, and built around warmth — not transactions.
